Your Questions, Answered

  • Starting therapy can feel unfamiliar, and that’s completely okay. Sessions are conversational and supportive, not intimidating or scripted. We’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable and safe for you. There’s no “right” way to do therapy.

  • You’re always in control of what you share. Some clients come in knowing exactly what they want to work on, while others are still figuring that out. Both are completely normal. Therapy is a space to explore whatever feels most important to you.

  • There’s no set timeline. Therapy looks different for everyone. Some clients come for short-term support, while others choose to stay longer. That’s part of the beauty of therapy—we’ll figure it out together as your needs evolve.

  • Most clients start with weekly sessions, but frequency can increase or decrease depending on your needs and preferences. Therapy is a flexible, collaborative process, and we can talk together about what schedule feels right for you. There’s no one-size-fits-all approach.

  • I respectfully request at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling.

    • Cancellations made with 24 hours’ notice are rescheduled without penalty.

    • Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice (but before the session start time) incur a $75 late cancellation fee.

    • No-shows or cancellations made after the session has begun are charged the full session fee.

I understand that unexpected things come up. This policy isn’t meant to be punitive, it simply helps honor the time set aside for each client and ensures availability for others.
